Thank you sooo much!  I'm just looking to add a touch more weight, not the entire 2 pounds, so washers stacked and taped together with electrical tape sounds like an inexpensive first try. However, if you are looking for the regular 2 pound weights, I've seen them on Explore Scientific's website, for like $17ish each.
