Describe in one sentence the issue you had when you contacted me for help: Prospective Newbie Buying QuestionsI only recieved my G11/PMC-8 a week ago, and it is my 1st mount. I had 4 straight clear nights, and the system worked the 1st 3 nights, but on the 4th the wifi disconnected several times. This was NOT the tablet going to sleep; in one case I was scrolling through some ExploreStars GoTo targets and the tablet drops the PMC-8 wifi and changes to my houses wifi. After the wifi drop I try to reconnect, using the Win10 Network Connection, and in 2 of the 3 times it says the PMC-8 Network is Unavailable. The tablet is a Dell Venue11 Pro 7140 running Win10 w/ 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, and dual Intel Core M-5Y71.
I have not yet successfully got ASCOM to run. I have loaded the drivers. The process seems to be convoluted and confusing. I have used computers all my professional life (now retired) as a power user to analyze and solve problems, but I am NOT a "networking specialist". It seems to me that the ASCOM install process (and the Yahoo group) is not oriented to typical computer users, but to those "networking specialist".
