The RA/DEC of an object is a fixed value (except for stuff orbiting the sun or earth). Think Lat/Lon for an object on the earth. AS for where in the sky it is at any given time/place on

The PMC-Eight mount controller is an open-loop stepper motor control system and uses the demanded steps to track the position of the mount, so when you loosen the clutches, it looses sync
