Totally agree on the cable management. It can make all the difference for refining your guiding/drift. I route all of my cables to the center of the mount and then straight down, with enough slack all

Hi Zernike Polynomial (nice!) I have no problems using this mount with my 8" SCT. It sort of looks like a 200mm newt with the dew shield on it. On top of the SCT, I have my 80mm APO riding piggy back

Hi Bob, That last part "I park the scope again..." is an unnecessary step and I suspect may be where your problem arises. If you loosened the clutches at that point (or any point) after the alignment

Hi Dave, I saw you posted "Bubble final 3 .png" It looks awesome! Lot's of 3D looking detail in there. The center plume just sort of jumps out. I use an ASI294MCPRO as well... love that camera.

Edwin, So one thing crossed my mind. If your peep hole is closed when the DEC is rotated 90 degrees from "home", then your tripod is not pointing to the North, which would be a huge problem.
