Hi All, You might be already aware of this, but latest PHD2 build enables multi star guiding. There is a long thread on cloudy nights https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/743080-phd2-adds-multi-star-gui

Vlad, No need look at the logs. Wireless is convenient for visual users, but for astrophotography users, it's a "siren song", best avoided. I'd suggest that you get a serial-usb cable with an FTDI chi

What version of Nina and Phd2 do you ? Do you use an Ascom hub to guide with Nina and Phd2 at the same time ? Did you read the Phd2 troubleshoot manual from one of the developers ?

Thanks for sharing! Would it be possible to share the specs and from where you order these replacements? It would be good as a reference for an upgrade I might try myself in the future. Walter

Thanks Carsten! I just ordered ceramic bearings myself. Also some thrust bearings, which I fear will not be so good, as they have poor nn-axial load capability. Wes

Well, I hope that this fix is not my isolated case only. Someone should try it to confirm if it helps to get uniform mesh tightness 360 degrees around. My "shims" are just folded sticky note :D Differ

The deal is with this mount at this price point the mechanics are not perfect. So you will find that the mesh tightness is not uniform around all 360 degrees. This means that when u set the tension yo

Bob, as I said, the ring gear moves after locking the axis for some reason. This causes the mesh between the worm and ring gear to be too tight on one side and too loose 180 degrees on the opposite si
