While I don't do deep space photography I can say the mount as is can do planetary using a Skywatcher 150MCT with Williams Optics 1.25" diagonal and ASI120MC-s camera, legs at lowest setting obviously

I got mine to work with W7 using the knowledge base application listed, using Packet Sender to switch from udp to tcp, worked well. You do have to connect the drivers as the POTH and not the PMC. Then
